The following was published in the Chisholm Tribune Press.

PFC. LOUIS A. MEHLE
Louis A. Mehle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mehle Sr., 324 Third street southwest, entered the service March 27, 1943, and went overseas in October 1944 as a member of a combat infantry unit, and was killed in action in Lorraine, France, Feb. 19, 1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
