Mrs. Harris was born to John Harvey Morris and Lillie Ida Mashburn Morris of McDowell County, N.C.
Zenia Morris Harris, 93, of Warrenton, died Dec. 6, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Harris was the youngest of eight children born to John Harvey Morris and Lillie Ida Mashburn Morris of McDowell County, N.C.
She attended nursing school in Danville and moved to Warrenton in 1940 with her husband, Barney Haley Harris, who preceded her in death in 1963.
Mrs. Harris was a longtime member of St. James Episcopal Church and a member of the local American Red Cross chapter and the Fauquier Historical Society.
She was a charter member and president of the Francis Fauquier Garden Club and served on the Fauquier County Library Board.
As a member of the Fauquier Hospital Auxiliary, Mrs. Harris was treasurer of the hospital's first snack bar.
She is survived by five daughters,
Sandra Mitchell of Warrenton, Kay Bentley of Augusta, Ga., Sherrie Hackett of Paradise Valley, Ariz.,
Pat Nevill of Warrenton and
Frankie Lyne of Warrenton;
fourteen grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren,
and seventeen nieces and nephews.
