Mr. Goodwin was born in Tucson, Arizona, March 17, 1876 and came to Yuma at the age of 17 when he started working for the Southern Pacific Co as a boiler maker. When he retired from the railroad in 1939 he had been with the company for 48 years.
He married Mary Costello, a native of Yuma, in 1900.
He is survived by Mrs Jas J Danoux and Richard B. Goodwin of Yuma, Henry Goodwin of Huntington Park, Louis Goodwin of Fullerton and Mrs. Everett J. Buckelew of La Mesa, California, Mrs,. Lola Perkins of Tucson, Arizona.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Los Angeles, Wednesday morning at ten where he will be laid beside his wife, the late Mary C. Goodwin.
