David Attebery Funeral is Held in Happy Camp

The funeral of David Attebery, who died in the Yreka General Hospital September 1st, was held in Happy Camp at 2 p.m. yesterday. Attebery was born in Jacksonville, Ore., sixty three years ago. His parents were early day miners in the community. The family moved to Siskiyou County when he was a boy and settled in Quartz Valley, where with his brothers and father he became prominent in mining circles. Twenty five years ago Attebery moved to the Klamath River, where he engaged in mining and for a number of years was employed by the state highway department until failing health forced his retirement. He leaves five brothers, Arthur, John, George, Harry and Cody, all residing in Happy Camp. Sacramento Bee, Friday, September 5, 1941
