Eleanor Angotto, 85, of Greenwich and wife of the late Anthony Angotto, passed away on Tuesday, February 11. She was born May 17, 1928 in Greenwich to the late Eugene and Angelina (Montimurro) Patrizi. Eleanor is survived by her five sons and their wives Gary and Linda of Norwalk, Chris and Anna of Greenwich, Terry and Dalrlene of Stamford, Jeffrey of Greenwich, and Eric and Deborah of Fairfield. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Rosina Gattuso and Mildred Mendrys, and by two granddaughters. Before she began her full-time job as a mother, Eleanor worked as a secretary in the law offices of Hirschberg, Pettengill & Strong of Greenwich. In her later years, she returned to the work force with jobs at Thrush Press in Stamford and in the payroll department for the Board of Education of the Town of Greenwich until her retirement. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 15 at 10 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside. Entombment will follow at Putnam Cemetery, Parsonage Road, Greenwich.
