WEST POINT, N. Y., Oct. 19. -- A distressing accident happened near here this afternoon which resulted in the almost instant death of Frederick H. Benedict, son of E. C. Benedict, the banker, and perhaps the fatal injury of Grenville Kane, a guest of Mr. Benedict.
Married first Jennie Louise Flagler October 6, 1887. Jennie died in 1889.
A daughter, Margery, born and died February 9, 1889.
Second marriage in 1894 to Virginie Coudert, daughter of Frederic Coudert.
