Omar R. Adame, a forty-two-year resident of Greenwich, passed away on September 20, 2015 following a lengthy struggle with Parkinson's Disease. He was eighty-four.

Born in the Bronx on May 21, 1931 to Don and Ruth (nee Iscra) Adame. Omar was a graduate of Mount Saint Michael Academy in the Bronx and Centre College in Kentucky, where he studied Chemistry and Biology and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

A proud Air Force veteran, he began serving in 1952, joining the Strategic Air Command, flying KC- 97s on mid-air refueling missions. In 1954, he joined the NY Air National Guard, often flying, as a volunteer, to Vietnam. He retired in 1982 as a Brigadier General.

In civilian life, Omar's career in the cosmetics industry spanned thirty years, during which he served as a senior executive with Orlane/Jean D'Albret and Adrien Arpel.

Passionate about his family, flying, photography, and travel. Omar was renowned for his personal generosity.

He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-two years, Margaret Hayes; daughter, Alexandra; and daughter, Liz Adame, from a previous marriage. He is also survived by his devoted brother, Ramon; and grandchildren, Quincy, Casey, and Febee.

To honor his life, friends may call on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Avenue, Greenwich. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Catherine of Sienna, followed by interment in the Putnam Cemetery.
