He was born Aug. 12, 1970, in Park Ridge, to Stanley and Rita (Stupp) Adamczyk. On July 20, 2002, he married Jane H. O'Malley in McHenry.
Chris served in the U.S. Navy from 1992-96; he was very proud of being a veteran.
Raised in Mount Prospect, he graduated from Elk Grove High School and following his time in the Navy, he graduated from Southern Illinois University. He was employed as a biomedical engineer for eight years at Marquette GE Medical Systems. He had a brilliant mind, was witty and had a happy-go-lucky attitude. He enjoyed cooking, hunting and fishing. He loved animals and had a special place in his heart for his dog, Heidi.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; his parents, Stanley and Rita; his brothers, Daniel (Jamie) Adamczyk and Joseph (Jaylene) Adamczyk; his sisters-in-law, Joyce, Marlene and Mary Ann O'Malley; his brothers-in-law, Paul (Deb), John (Beth), Tom (Karla) and Jim (Karen) O'Malley; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. A rosary will be said at 2 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 27551 Volo Village Road, Volo. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
