George W. Anderson, age 96, of Munster, IN and late of Chicago, IL, died Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Harsfield Care Center after a brief illness. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews in the Chicago area; and niece Lucille Neuwirth of Clearwater, FL. George was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Grantner) Anderson; brothers: Reuben (Red) and Harry; parents: Charles and Anna Anderson.
George was a lontime employee of General Electric Co. of Chicago, IL. He was honorable discharded from the Army after service in World War II.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 DIRECTLY at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Avenue, Munster, IN. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, doantions to St. Anthony Hospice in Crown Point, IN in his memory would be appreciated.
