Nancy Pegram-Anderson

Nancy Pegram-Anderson, 77, of Manteno, died Tuesday (July 17, 2012) at her home. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Brown Funeral Home, Manteno, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Deacon Joe Cotugno will officiate.

Burial will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Glenwood. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

Mrs. Anderson was a dental technician for Dr. Wright in Homewood for more than 20 years. She was born June 22, 1935, in Harvey, the daughter of Leo and Laurette Donovan Gettler. She was a volunteer at the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno. She was a member of the Bradley-Bourbonnais-St. George Senior Club. She enjoyed watching TV, crocheting, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her husband, Carl Anderson, of Manteno, whom she married Jan. 31, 2004, in Momence; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bruce Pegram Jr., of Peotone, and Jeff and Annette Pegram, of Bourbonnais; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Pegram-DeGasso and Scott DeGasso, of Manteno; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Cleo Barker, of Glenwood; and special friends, Annie and Bill Flannigan, of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bruce Pegram; one son, Michael Shawn Pegram; her parents; two brothers, Thomas and George (Virginia) Gettler; and one sister, Marion (Norm) Pattenaude.
