George Burkey, a prominent resident of the west part of Elkhorn Twp,(Brown County, Il), died at 10AM last Saturday, after a short illness. He had been complaining for a week or more but worked all day Thursday. The next morning his condition suddenly became serious and medical aid was summoned, but without avail, and death followed, as stated above. The funeral took place Monday afternoon and the remains were buried at Marden chapel. (Elkhorn Twp.)
Deceased was about 55 years of age and a widower, his wife having passed away a year ago, He leaves five children, the youngest about 12 years old.
