Hallie Mae Kennedy Adams, 94, of Dresden, TN, died Tuesday May 7, 2013 at the VanAyer Manor Rehab and Nursing Center in Martin. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Eastside Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:30 PM until service time at 4:00 PM.

Mrs. Adams was born in Folsomdale, KY to the late Everett K. and Azzie Lee Hopkins Kennedy. She was a bookkeeper with the Weakley County Board of Education and a secretary with the University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Education. Mrs. Adams was a member of Adams Chapel Baptist Church and a graduate of Alcorn Agricultural High School in Kossuth, MS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Gordon Adams; a son, Charles E. Adams: and three brothers, James Kennedy, Harold Kennedy, and Leamon Kennedy.

Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter Deanna Adams (Sidney) Chappell of Troy, TN; a son, Hal (Sherry) Adams of Martin; 8 grandchildren, Wes Miller of Troy, Zach Miller of Memphis, Emily Adams Brasure of Medina, Melissa Adams of Martin, DeeDee McDonald of Greenfield, Frank Adams and Julie Maribito of Pennsylvania and Kim Fisher of Lake St. Louis, MO; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
