Ray Adams, 78 of 210 K Street died suddenly at 12:00 noon August 24 at the Volunteer General Hospital. Death was caused by an apparent heart attack. He was a retired trucker. Mr. Adams was a member of the Ralston Baptist Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Inez Adams; three brothers, Roy Adams, Tillman Adams, and Leland Adams, all of Fulton; and two sisters, Mrs. Carmack Anderson of Dresden and Mrs. Nelson Tripp of Fulton.

Services were held Wednesday morning at the Doug Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. John Phillips officiating. Burial was in Eastside Cemetery with Doug Murphy in charge.

Pallbearers were J.W. Campbell, Allen Strawbridge, Bob Glisson, Joe Thomas Adams, Barry Adams and Charles Simmons.
