Christopher Columbus Adams was born June 11th, 1854. He married Frances Emmaline Blakemore on June 11th, 1878 in Weakley County. Emmaline, known as "Emma", was born February 1st, 1859. They had eight children. Christopher was a member of the Tennessee House 1889-1891 representing Weakley County. He was a member of the Weakley County Court from the Sharon district. His obituary states, "He was a man of keen insight, a student, a man who read extensively and one of firm convictions. He stood out boldly and fearlessly for the right. He possessed the courage of his convictions, and the clean honorable Christian life that he lived is indeed, a rich heritage to his children and his grandchildren."
