James Caron Adams was born in Weakley County, Tennessee, September 9, 1906. He died June 19th, 1930; age 21 years, 9 months, and 10 days .

He was educated in Martin City Schools, graduating from the High School in May 1926. He then went to Memphis, where the family resided and began working for he Wahl Shoe Company. He advanced rapidly in his work and at the time of his illness in May 1929 he was manager of he Vanity Boot Shop, on Main Street. His outlook for success was very bright when he was taken ill in May 1929.

He lingered more than a year steadily growing weaker to the end. He bore his suffering patiently and cheerfully, never uttering a complaint. He always had a smile for every one and a word of cheerful greeting for all who called. This spirit never changed and in his last breath he wore a smile.

Several days ago he expressed his faith and trust in the Lord and was reconciled and prepared to go. He never joined any church. His life was one of calm, quiet, pursuit of his work and loyalty to his duties.

He is survived by his father, mother and sister, also all of his grandparents, three uncles and a host of relatives and friends who mourn his death.

His whole life was calm and orderly. He was an obedient son with high ideals which he constantly strove to attain.
