Marjorie A. (TUCKER) Andre, 78, of Tuckertown Road., Wakefield, died Saturday at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Eugene D. Andre. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Pearl (Keeler) Tucker.
Mrs. Andre was a secretary for Kenyon Piece Dye for over twenty-five years before retiring. She was a member of the Peace Dale Congregational Church and the RI Dalia Society. She enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, and maintaining her home on Tuckertown Road.
She was the mother of Beth Andre of Voluntown, CT, John Andre of Chesapeake, VA, Robert Andre of Charlestown, Thomas Andre of Wakefield and Cheryl Anyzeski of Charlestown and grandmother of eight. She was the sister of the late Hollis Tucker.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in New Fernwood Cemetery, Rt. 138 Kingston.
