Clara Mae Archer
MIDDLEBOURNE - Clara Mae Archer, 56, of Route 2, Sistersville, died Wednesday morning at her home following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Archer was born at Alvy, W.Va., a daughter of Clara Myers Ash of Middlebourne and the late Olva T. Ash. She was a homemaker, a member of the Burt Church of Christ, Middlebourne, and Ruth Chapter No. 7, OES of Middlebourne.
Surviving is her husband of 38 years, Joseph N. Archer; a son William T. Archer of Lower Salem, Ohio; three daughters, Kathy Chambers and Judith Archer, both of Sistersville and Mary Jo Wozniak of Crestline, Ohio; two sisters, Janet Lee Ash of Middlebourne and Linda Knotts of Lake Alfred, Fla.; a granddaughter and four grandsons.
Services will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Furbee Funeral Home, Middlebourne, with Evangelist George Knisley officiating. Burial will be in Archer's Chapel Cemetery, Route 2, Sistersville.
Friends may call at the funeral home, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
