Lorraine Adams of Rockford, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Lorraine was born on September 4, 1932 in Belmont, Michigan to Adrian and Hattie (née Goldner) Polderman. In her free time, Lorraine loved golfing and bowling, the casino, and you might even catch her dotting-up a bingo card from time to time. Lorraine was a loving and devoted wife, wonderful mother, and proud grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. Lorraine is survived by her loving children Cheryl Adams and Sandy Johnson; grandsons Steve, Eric, and Bill (Christine) Johnson; great grandchildren Brendan, Logan, Katelyn, and Duncan Johnson; sister Dorothy Bowman; sister-in-law Joan Adams; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-five years, Richard L. “Eightball” Adams on December 13, 1995; sister Helen Golec; brother Ralph Visser; brothers-in-law Raymond Bowman, Arlo Adams, and Jim Adams.
