SHREVEPORT, LA - Services for Eva Lee McDaniels will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 10395 Blanchard-Latex Road, Mooringsport, LA. Pastor Leon Robertson, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Family hour will be Friday, December 6, 2013 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Heavenly Gates Funeral Home.
Eva Lee White McDaniels (Granny) was born May 26, 1942 to parents Joe and Moorea White in Mooringsport, LA. She passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by family.
Eva was baptized at the age of 10 years old under the pastoral leadership of Rev. R. L. Knighton at Shiloh Baptist Church, where she truly loved the Lord. She graduated from Walnut Hill High School in 1961. On April 8, 1965, she married Louis McDaniels and to this union four children were born, Eric, Elizabeth, Shelia and Consuelia. She devoted her life to helping others in the medical field and retired doing what she loved for over 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Elizabeth McDaniels, son Eric McDaniels and two brothers Henry P. White and Arthur J. White.
She loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. She was known as "Granny" by everyone, and she loved her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Shelia Regina McDaniels, Flower Mound, TX; Consuelia McDaniels, Shreveport, LA; one sister, Minnie White, Shreveport, LA; three brothers, Joe White Jr., Leigh, TX; Walter White (Suzette), Shreveport, LA; Eddie White (Linda), Haughton, LA; one aunt, Laura Harris, Shreveport, LA; grandchildren - Demarquis McDaniels, Long Beach, CA; Detavious and Demond McDaniels, Flower Mound, TX; Christopher McDaniels and Dallas Foster, Shreveport, LA; Eddie, LaTasha and Shaquita Lee, Shreveport, LA; Angela Smith and Steven Gray, Shreveport, LA; ten great grandchildren, her special nieces, great nieces and nephews, one great great nephew, and a host of family and friends.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Harmony Life Hospice for their exceptional love and care for Mrs. Eva during the past three years, especially Dr. Patton, Joanna, Deloris, Tabitha, Georgia, Bro. Buck and Rita. We Love You.
