Delores E. Grogg Allison, 79
Morgantown, W.Va. - Delores E. Grogg Allison, 79, of Van Voorhis Road, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 2:13 a.m. at the Monogalia General Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., following a lengthy illness. Born March 4, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Howell Grogg. She had lived the last two years in Morgantown moving there from Dunn, N.C. A member of the Newell Church of Christ, at one time she worked for Dr. Day, who was the Veterinarian at the former Waterford Park Racetrack. She then worked as an Apartment Manager for Simco in Youngstown, Ohio. She was preceded in death on December 12, 2009 by her husband, James R. Allison, whom she married in 1951. Survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Elliott and her husband, Fred of Morgantown, Patricia "Patty" Hickman of Morgantown, and Janice Hart and her husband, Kenny of Parkersburg, W.Va.,; and one son, Dr. David Allison and his wife, Debbie of Dunn, N.C. There are seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Ruby Grogg of Dunn, N.C; and two brothers, Raymond Grogg of Akron, Ohio and Ernie Grogg of Chester, W.Va. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard Grogg. Friends may visit the family from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Tom Arehart of the LaBelle Church of Christ will conduct a funeral service 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
