Robert J. "Bert" Anderson Sr., 85, of Elyria passed away Thursday February 21, 2013 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville following a brief illness. He was born September 14, 1927 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Bert worked as a truck driver for the teamsters union for many years, was the former owner of Anderson Pools, was a member of the LaPorte United Methodist Church, and served in the United States Navy during W.W. II.. Following his retirement, he worked in security at the Elyria Wesleyan Village and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Nancy (nee-Slusher); sons, Eric Anderson of Elyria, Tim (Jody) Anderson of Grafton, Robert Anderson Jr. (Heidi) of Elyria, James (Susan) Anderson of Lakewood, and John Anderson of Denver, CO.; grandchildren, Sean, Scott, Eric, Ryan, Troy, Haley, Zak, Claire, Hunter, and Carter; sister, Betty Kuepfer of Grafton.
