Madge V. Wilson Merrill Abahazi, 93, of Lagrange passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at the Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born December 20, 1919 in Elyria and spent her life in the surrounding community. Madge enjoyed many activities outside of the home; she served as an assistant Girl Scout Leader, past President of Elyria Y-Megs, Secretary for the Lorain County Farm Bureau Board, past President for the Lorain County Dairy Boosters, the Lorain County Farm Bureau Women's Council, the Lorain County Agriculture and Natural Resources Council, a longtime member of the Lagrange United Methodist Church and a Hospice volunteer. She always stayed busy with her Dairy Farm, her community work and her family.

Mrs. Abahazi is survived by her children, son, Dennis Merrill (Shona) of LaGrange; daughters, Carolyn Merrill Scheuffler (the late Ernest) of LaGrange; Janis Merrill Tuttle (Dave) of LaGrange; LuAnne Abahazi of Elyria; and Debra Abahazi Hahn (Bill) of Columbus; 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and her sister, Geraldine Child of Findlay. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Thelma (nee Hunter) Wilson; her husbands, Harold "Dutch" Merrill, and Louis Abahazi; her son, David Abahazi, and her sister, Audrey Giovannazzo.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second St., Elyria, from 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday, June 16. Funeral service to be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, at 2pm. Rev. Ralph Krall will officiate. Committal service to follow at Brookdale Cemetery.
