Pearl "Evelyn" Abahazi, (Nee-Marks)

Pearl "Evelyn" Abahazi, 83 of Carlisle Township, OH died Wednesday at her home following a short illness.

She was born in Perkins, and has been an Elyria, OH resident since 1942. Mrs. Abahazi worked for Ridge Tool in Elyria in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Crooked Fork Baptist Church in Perkins. She was a member of the D.A.V. (Disable American Veterans) Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Abahazi enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Andy, daughters, Pamela Rainey, and Andrea Nottingham, both of Elyria, OH, and Sheila Turner of North Ridgeville, OH; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, sisters, Ernestine Heavener of Perkins, and Maxine Johnson of Elyria, OH; and a brother, Wilbur Marks of Little Hocking, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents: H. Richard and Lulu (nee-Moore) Marks; a sister, Lucille Miller, and brothers, Harold, Bayard, Bobby, Ralph and Roland Marks.

Funeral services were held on Friday, March 31 at the Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home in Elyria, OH. Burial followed in the Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria, OH.
