Rorick was a former business man and community volunteer. He was Vice President of the Harold Rorick Insurance Company, a member of Elyria Memorial Hospital Company, a Sunday School Teacher, and a volunteer for the Laubach Literary Program and Ohio Read. In addition he was a member of the Rotary Club, the VFW, a member of the Advisory Board of the Elyria Salvation Army and delivered Meals on Wheels for 20 years.
He was a USMC Veteran of WWII and Korea. He was wounded on Okinawa and received a purple heart. He was a veteran of the Chosin Reservoir - a member of the "Chosin Few".
Survived by wife, Helen, and daughters: Beth and Susan; and by brother, J. Wendell Amos.
