Anita Mary Abbey, 85, Chiloquin, died Dec. 23, 2001, of natural causes in Chiloquin.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Keith & Keith Terrace Heights Chapel, 2807 Terrace Heights Drive, Yakima, Wash. Interment will follow at Terrace Heights Cemetery in Yakima. Eternal Hills Funeral Home, Klamath Falls, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Abbey was born April 25, 1916, in North Dakota to John and Berta (Steele) Broecher.
She lived in Union Gap in the Yakima area for many years.
She later lived in Reno for five years before moving earlier this year to Chiloquin, where she resided with one of her daughters.
Mrs. Abbey enjoyed making quilts.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Sauer of Chiloquin and Lola Putnam of Spokane, Wash.; sisters, Ada Gibson and Louella Walker of Yakima and Alice Bales of Aberdeen, Wash.; brother, Jim Walkerhouer of Yakima; grandsons, Joe and Frank Zamloni and Doyle, Casey, Arthur and Stuart Putnam of Yakima; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Abbey, two brothers and her son.

Anita was married to Albert Purviance, before Frank E. Abbey. She is the mother of Albert's daughters, Lola, and Joyce. A son Frankie, died as a baby.|
