Henry J. "Hank" Adamczyk, 74, of West Haven, beloved husband of Louise Gervasi Adamczyk, passed away January 24, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice.

He was born in New Haven on December 20, 1939, son of the late John J. and Stella Lazarik Adamczyk.

He attended West Haven High School and Graduated from Sacred Heart School in New Haven in 1955.

He worked as an Automobile Detailer for Blue Ribbon Car Wash for over 40 years.

He had a life-long love of car racing, was a NASCAR fan and loved to travel to different tracks and events. He raced Thunder Jet Ho Slot cars at the West Clark Speedway for many years and earned more than fifty first place wining trophies.

He was a master gardener growing heirloom tomatoes for everyone. He was loved by all his friends and always had a smile for them

Surviving besides his wife are his adored nieces, Renee Rowlands of Seymour and Lauri Gervasi of New Haven; and his grandnephew Dominic Amenta of New Haven; his nieces, Diane DeMauro and Louise Lloyd of Florida; and cherished friend of Rima Chowdhury Family.

He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Parlato His funeral will be from Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven at 10:30 am on Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, West Haven.

Interment will be private at St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the funeral home prior to his funeral Mass.
