Richard E. Aceto, 74, of Port St. Lucie, FL, was the beloved husband of Rita Fasulo. Born in New Haven, CT to the late Anthony and Carmel Aceto. Father of Richard Aceto Jr. of North Haven, Gayle Aceto of New Haven, stepdaughters Laura (James) Napierkowski of Higganum, the late Susan Fasulo and stepson Anthony Fasulo of Miami, FL. Poppie to Tyler John Napierkowski. Brother of Louise (Alphonse) Fezza of Hamden, Vincent (Carol) Aceto of West Haven and Dr. Anthony (Lillian) Aceto of Cheshire. He was also survived by many devoted nieces and nephews, and predeceased by a nephew Robert Aceto. He retired from the City of West Haven before moving to Florida where he worked as a Park Ranger for the City of Boca Raton before retiring in 1998. He was a Korean Veteran who served with a rescue squadron with the USAF. A long time member of the West Haven Italian American Club and a present member of the Elks lodge #1889. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Our Lady of Victory Church.
