Born in Pottsville, Jan. 31, 1958, he was a son of the late Joseph A. and Anna Blazowski Andershonis, Frackville.
Joseph was a graduate of Cardinal Brennan High School, Fountain Springs.
Joseph and his father owned and operated JA and JJ Demolition and Rigging, Frackville, for many years.
More recently, he also worked in private contracting and with heavy equipment companies.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his infant sister, Antoinette Andershonis, Frackville; and sister, Joanne Caroline Andershonis Reich, East Hampton, Conn.
