Raymond S. Tookey Andershonis
Died- January 25, 2014
Raymond S. "Tookey" Andershonis, 68, of Frackville, passed away Saturday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Morea, he was a son of the late Stanley P. and Anna M. Kowalick Andershonis. He was a graduate of Frackville High School, Class of 1964.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, having served from 1964 to 1967.
Tookey retired as an equipment operator from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
He was a member of the Annunciation BVM Roman Catholic Church, Frackville. He was a member and a past commander of American Legion Post 398, Frackville; life member of DAV Chapter Marne 21; life member of VFW Post 1420, Mahanoy City and member of BPO Elks Lodge 1533, Frackville.
Tookey enjoyed fishing and camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley J. Andershonis, in 1963.
Raymond is survived by his nephew, Stanley Andershonis and his wife, Koreen, Frackville; a great-niece and goddaughter, Racheal Andershonis; companion and caregiver, Ethyl M. Dziczek, Frackville; and many friends.
