SHINNSTON — Okey Allen Adams Jr., 72, of Enterprise, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2007, at his residence.
He was born June 3, 1935, in Robey, WV, a son of the late Okey Allen Adams Sr. and Sylvia Mitchell Adams.
He is survived by his companion, Margaret Stalnaker, with whom he made his home in Enterprise; two sons, Kevin and Jacqueline Adams of Holland, NY, and Barry “BJ” Adams of Morgantown; and one daughter, Jennifer Adams of Shinnston. Okey is also survived by one brother, Audie Ray Adams of Florida.
Okey was a school teacher and athletic coach for eleven years in Greenbrier County, and was also a coal miner for ten years. Okey enjoyed gardening, Mountaineer sports, and country music at the Sagebrush Round Up.
Family and friends may attend a graveside ceremony on Saturday, October 13, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery.
