Miss me, but let me go. When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me. I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free?
Cliff passed away at home on February 24, 2016 at the age of 89 after a six month battle with cancer. Cliff was born in Buhl, Idaho and graduated from Boise High School in 1945. He served in the United States Army, having earned the rank of Sergeant during WWII. Cliff worked with many contractors and suppliers through Capital Lumber and Chandlers Supply and Masonry Center. He retired to their cabin in Donnelly, Idaho, living there for six years but working part time at Payette Lakes Lumber. After moving back to Boise, Cliff became the manager of Glenbrier Park, a position he held until well into his 80s. So you see, Cliff never really retired.
Cliff was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; sons, Alan and Charles; and sister, Ilene. He is survived by a sister, Virginia Gaskell; a brother, Dick Adams; a son, Douglas (Skip) Adams; Skip's wife, Jan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a very special "Thank You" to the great team at First Choice Hospice: Erin, Tracy, Nancy, Jenny, Mike, Rose, Sherry and Bruce.
Cliff will be interred at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Please join the family in a celebration of Cliff's life on March 19th from 1-4 PM at the Glenbrier Park Clubhouse at 7000 Bunch Court, Boise, Idaho 83714.
