Killed By The Cars While Asleep On The Track.

Last Sunday morning while T & P passenger train No. 3, at about 2:00 a m, was passing through Stalls going west, it ran over and killed a young negro boy named Lareo Fisher and hurt another boy, George Glen slightly. It seems that the boys had been to a supper given by Richard Barber and while on their return to Lodi, sat down on the tracks at Stalls and went to sleep. Lareo Fisher who was killed was about 20 years old and the son of Frank Fisher, who formerly lived in Jefferson, but is now a successful farmer. The funeral took place Monday at Damascus Baptist Church at Lodi, Revs. W. W. Webb and W. H. Whiten conducting the services and the burial took place in the Whitaker Cemetery at Lodi.
