Vera Jane Price
Vera Jane Price, 77, of Fletcher, Ohio, died Sunday morning at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 29, 1921, in Clarksburg, the daughter of the late Adrian L. and Lois (Hickey) Van Horn. On July 15, 1972, she married Charles Price, who died on Feb. 13, 1990.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Adele) Withers and Freda Kilgore, both of Fairborn, and Mrs. Garlett (Carolyn) Watts, of Springfield; three stepchildren, Cheryl Williams and Rebecca Lofty, both of Sidney, and Charles Price, Jr., of Florida; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Dan Miller and Pat McIntyre, both of Fletcher.
Mrs. Price was a life member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society Auxiliary and had retired from WPAFB in 1985 after 26 years of service as a purchasing agent.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fletcher United Methodist Church with Rev. David Chivington officiating. Burial will be in Borwn Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg, where graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Suber Funeral Home, Fletcher, Ohio, where Grange Memorial Services will be held at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Fletcher Rescue Squad or Hospice of Miami County.
