Doris E. Anderson, 84, of Chillicothe, died 6:20 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010, in Traditions of Chillicothe following a brief illness. She was born February 14, 1926, in Chillicothe, to the late Carey I. and Bliss Larraine Merritt Moss. On March 5, 1946, she married Robert C. Anderson, who died April 12, 1991.

Surviving are daughters, Jill Elaine (Olaf Schirmer) Anderson, of Westerville, OH, Cathy Anne (Timothy) Mash, of Frankfort and Karen Louise (Robert) Hensley, of Monkton, MD; grandchildren, Troy Aaron (Michelle) Mash, Michael David Mash, Timothy Andrew Mash and fiancée Cassie Whittle, Tracy (Marcus) Huffman and Morgan and Graham Hensley; great-grandchildren, Michaela, Corbin, Anthony, Dylan, Mirabella and Zoe Mash and Evan Huffman; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty McDonnell; and brothers, Harold and Vernon Moss.

Doris was a member of the Clarksburg United Methodist Church. She worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation, where she had held many positions, retiring after 22 years of service.

Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
