He was born in Lake Placid on Jan 28, 1917, the
spn of William and Harriet (Hasiunsj Barry.
Mr Barry was a veteran erf World War II. serving
in the Army as a staff sergeant. James was a life member of American Legion Post 326, Lake Placid, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a photographer and a printer for Barry and Wilson Printing Co in Lake Placid.
He is survived by two daughters, Gail Randall and
her husband David of Lake Placid and Beverly Barry
of Bonton Beach. Fla . one son, Lawrence Barry and
his wife Kelly of Lake Placid; a daughter-in-law
Kathie Barry of Lake Placid: one sister. Bonnie Miner of Lake Placid; two brothers. Join "Jack" Barry and his wife Kathryn of Saranac Lake and William Barry and his wife Edna of Rochester; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Florence (Collins)
Barry in 1986 and a son, James Barry Jr.. on Nov. 11, 2002.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated
Saturday. Aug. 30 at St Agnes Church in Lake
Placid. The Rev Patrick O'Reilly officiated. Burial
will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Arranagements were
with the Clark Funeral Home in Lake Placid.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that dona-
tions be made to Uihkin Mercy Center 42.
