Gloria Jean Bailey, 72 of Walker, WV. passed away August 9, 2015. She was born in Parkersburg the daughter of the late William O. and Bessie B. Gates Fury.
She had at one time worked as a Nurses Aid for Home Healthcare. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, yard sales and country music. She was known to many as "Gram".
She is survived by her children, Carl Bailey Jr. (Barb), Rodney Bailey (Peggy), Susan Lemley (Rodney), Peanut Bailey (Tina), Doug Bailey (Cindy), Chuck Bailey (Courtney), Jeanie Bailey and Vicki Harris (Darrell). Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her brothers, Bill Fury (Mary), Bob Fury (Betty) Jack Fury (Carolyn) and Frank Fury. One sister, Irene Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Carl Bailey Sr. One daughter, Peggy. Two grandchildren, Scotty and Lori. Three brothers, Roy, Tom and John and one sister, Beulah.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery.
