Mrs. Bessie D. Bartlett, 63, of Ludwig St., South Parkersburg, died yesterday at 4:45 p.m. at Camden-Clark Memorial hospital.

She was a life-long resident of Parkersburg and Wood county and was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include six sons, Olen H. Bartlett, Washington, W.Va., Cecil A. Bartlett, at home; Emerson A. Bartlett, Newark, W.Va., Eldon Bartlett, Columbus, O., Murl E. Bartlett, Wheeling, and Raleigh Bartlett of the U.S. Navy; one daughter, Mrs Freda J. Burd, City; four brothers, Henry Sams, Lubeck, Jesse Sams, City, Lafe Sams, Elizabeth, and Leon Sams, East Liverpool, O.; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Miracle, Parkersburg Rt. 5, and Mrs. Georgia McKowan, East Liverpool; and five grandchildren.

One son Woodrow L. Bartlett, was killed in World War II.

Services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Leavitt funeral home with the Rev. R.L. Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the K. of P. Cemetery at Walker, W.Va.
