BRAY, WILLIE. Private. No 5485. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Lindley 12.9.1890. Son of Fred Bottom and Ann Bray, 14 Lidget Street, Lindley. Educated at Lindley Church Schools. Employed as a cloth warehouseman. Enlisted 20.3.1916. Died at Fargo Hospital, Salisbury Plain, of thrombosis. 31.05.1916.
Brother of Private James Arthur Bray, who died in Jerusalem, 8.11.1918, q.v.).
Buried with full military honours in LINDLEY (ZION) METHODIST CHAPEL YARD.
