Thelma Thibodeaux Gary, 77, a native of Welsh and resident of Patterson since 1980, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at 1:41 p.m. at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Interment will follow in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by her five sons, Clebert Gary of Bayou Vista, Larry Gary of Ricohoc, Jean Keith Gary of Belle River, David Gary of Patterson and Russel Gary of South Carolina; three daughters, Barbara Gary of Bayou Vista, Diana Breaux of Crowley and Janice Gary of Rayne; one brother, Jay Thibodeaux of Texas; one sister, Beatrice Hicks of Lake Charles; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Abbie Joseph Gary; her father, Joseph O. Thibodeaux; her mother, Lizida LeBlanc Thibodeaux; one daughter, Abby Gail Gary Suire; one brother, Irvin Thibodeaux; and five deceased grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary Inc. of Patterson (985) 395-7873.
