Margaret O. Landry, 79, a native of Ponchatoula and resident
of Morgan City, went home to be with the Lord November 6, 2009 at the Morgan City Health Care Center.

Above all, Margaret loved the Lord. She was a beautiful Christian. She was a faithful member of Bethel Pentecostal Fellowship. The love of Jesus was evident in her life. Margaret was a prayer warrior who devoted many hours praying for her family, her chruch, her world and any concerns that the people brought to her. She was loving, caring and the best part of us all. She was our definition of Christ-like. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved family gatherings and her greastest contribution to the gatherings was the bountiful feast she would prepare.

She is survived by her son and dauther-in-law Johnny and Gayle Landry, and her daughter and son-in-law Charlette and Gregory Angeron. Five grandkids, Jonathon, Jarrad and Johannah Landry and Deirdra A. Mayon, and her husband, Ellery Mayon, Jr. and Desiree A. Cavalier, and her husband, Jason Cavalier. Eight great-grandchildren; Danyael, Jonah, Braxton and Theron Landry, Lee and Dillon Howard, and Jason Jr. and Mackenzie Cavalier. Three step great-grandchildren; Jonathan, Fallyn, and Ethan Mayon.One sister, Jeannette O. Adams. One sister-in-law Jeanne L. Elliot; and also her sister in Christ, Eleanor Blanco.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, John B. Landry,
her parents, Lawrence and Gerturde "Hervey" (Hansford) Orgeron. Two brothers, Lawrence "Sonny" Jr. and Earl Orgeron. Three sisters, Ruby O. Simoneaux, Florence Orgeron and Mary Louise Orgeron.
