Earlene Derouen Clements, 39, a native of Franklin and a resident of Patterson, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at 3:35 p.m. at her residence.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Blaine C. Clements of Patterson; her son, Bobby Christopher Clements and his wife, Tara, of Morgan City; her father, Walter Derouen, Sr. of Franklin; her mother, Nellie Picard Derouen of Franklin; one grandson, Blaze Christopher Clements of Morgan City; two brothers, Walter Derouen, Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Franklin and Earl Derouen and his wife, Rhonda, of Bayou Vista; four sisters, Kathy Broussard and her husband, Lawrence, of Lydia, Shirley Leger and her husband, SFC Donald Leger, of Augusta, Georgia, Mary Choate and her husband, Horace, of Jeanerette, and Nancy Clements and her husband, Roy, of Patterson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Earlene was preceded in death by her grandparents and great grandparents.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Saturday, August 8, at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Kathy Brand will officiate the services.
Pallbearers will be Craig Ronsonet, Shane Chauvin, Cody Zimmerman, Lawrence Broussard, Jr., Walter Derouen, Jr., and Earl Derouen. Honorary pallbearers will be A. J. Naquin, Jr., Dean Henson, Glenn Louviere, Jr., Brad Derouen, Kevin Clements, Gary Clements, and SFC Donald Leger.
