Allen 'Slim' James Leger, 59, a native of Houston, TX, and a resident of Berwick died, Friday, January 30, 2009.
Allen is survived by his wife, Deborah Cubbedge Leger of Carencro; one son, Troy James Leger of Lafayette; two daughters, Trina Lachelle Evans of Bayou Lourse and Chelsy René Leger of Carencro; three brothers, Ray Leger of Gibson, Pete Leger of Hackberry, and Clifton Leger of Bayou Vista; two sisters, Fay Mayon of Bayou Lourse and Phyllis Gollotte of Berwick, an uncle, J.E. 'Mickey' Fitzpatrick of Berwick; and three grandchildren, Brittany Leger of Lafayette, Trey Leger of Lafayette, and Lydia Leger of Carencro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murley Legers and Anite Rita Gary Legers.
The family requests that visitation be observed Monday, February 2, 2009 from 6p.m. to 9p.m. at Ibert's in Patterson with a rosary being prayed at 7p.m. The mortuary will reopen Tuesday at 9 a.m. until time of services.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 2p.m. at Ibert's in Patterson with Pastor Frank Pellissier of the First Baptist Church of Amelia officiating.
