Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson for Ronnie Wayne Lightsey, Sr., 64, a New Orleans native and resident of Patterson, who passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 18, 2011.

Burial will follow in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery. Bro. James Kyle will officiate the services.

Ronnie was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed woodworking and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Emelda Broussard Lightsey of Patterson; two sons, Ronnie Lightsey, Jr. and his wife Kelda of Haughton, and Waylon Lightsey of Yuma, AZ; two grandchildren, Joseph and Haley Lightsey of Haughton; his mother-in-law, Amelie Rebert Broussard of Morgan City; one brother; and three sisters.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Leroy Lightsey and Louis Lightsey; his parents, Dewitt Lightsey and Emily McClendon Lightsey; and his father-in-law, Louis Broussard.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM, and again Saturday from 8:00 AM until service time.
