— Mary Lucille Arbogast

Mary Lucille Arbogast, went home to be with the Lord June 8, 2010.

She was born April 6, 1920, at Deer Creek, near Cass, W.Va.

Lucille received her registered nursing degree from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Washington, D.C. in 1944. She worked in the nursing profession a few years and then chose to stay home and be a housewife and loving mother to her two sons. She was an active Christian lady and a member of the Marlinton First Church of the Nazarene.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Argile Arbogast; parents, Nora and Alva Jackson; a brother, Keith Buckhanon; and a sister, Freda Hollandsworth.

She is survived by her two sons, Lloyd Arbogast and Larry Arbogast; a brother, Nixon Jackson; two sisters, Joyce Stanley and Helen Wilfong; six grandchildren, Diana Trigg, Amy Blankenship, Kimberly Arbogast, Matthew Arbogast, Angela Lilly and Chris Arbogast; two step grandchildren, Carey Grey and Amy Adkins; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at the Trinity Baptist Church in Cooktown. Viewing will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with funeral service at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010. Burial will follow in the Ruckman Cemetery.
