Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 1:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin for Ms. Rose Marie Ashley, 66, a native of Rita, LA and a longtime resident of Calumet, who passed away Monday, November 04, 2013, at 2:30 AM in Folsom.
She will be laid to rest in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville. Rev. Bobby Hodnett will conduct the services.
Survivors include her son, Mikel James Ashley and his wife Michele; two sisters, Leona Gail Champagne and Alice Faye Diggs; five brothers, Huey Ashley, Carl Ashley, Dean Ashley, Tommy Ashley, and Gordon Ashley; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pauline Marie Wain; her parents, Martin Ashley, Sr. and Mary Ann Bergeron Ashley; and one brother, Martin Ashley, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert's Mortuary in Franklin from 10:30 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help alleviate funeral expenses.
