Born in Shenandoah on Sept. 14, 1920, she was a daughter of the late John Christian and Anne M. (Shoup) Biblehimer.
She was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Mrs. Berresford was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Shenandoah.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, George Berresford, in 1984; five brothers, George, Phillip, Paul, John and Heber Biblehimer; and a sister, Kathryn Baluskie.
Surviving, in addition to her daughter, Carole, are daughters, Gail Gebhart, Sinking Spring; and Lea Hanchick and her husband, Paul, Bethlehem; a son, George Berresford and his wife, Shirley, Lost Creek; six grandchildren, Jeff, Nick, Andrew, Kevin, Gary and Joi; a great-granddaughter, Kira; a much loved niece, Ann Frost; additional nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great-niece.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday from Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. The Rev. Mindy Heppe, her pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Brandonville Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. There will be no calling hours Tuesday evening.
