Anna C. "Ann" Bisko, 90, of Pine Grove, passed away Saturday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.
Born March 5, 1923, in Tremont, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ella Kerchusky Lorenz.
Anna was valedictorian of the 1941 graduation class at Germantown High School, Philadelphia.
She worked as a waitress for the Pottsville Club and several other restaurants.
Anna was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Pine Grove.
She was also a member of Schuylkill County Flower Club, an avid golfer and former member of the Blue Mountain Golf League.
She made many beautiful crafts items and enjoyed playing pinochle with friends and in several card clubs. She was a kind, loving person who was a joy to be around.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Wolfinger; a sister, Evelyn Kunchick; and two brothers, Charles "Pete" Lorenz and Robert Lorenz.
Surviving are a brother, Ernest Lorenz Jr., Sheppton; three nephews, John Lorenz and Thomas Lorenz, both of Harrisburg, and Robert Lorenz, Philadelphia; four nieces, Susan Zucosky, Warrington, Cathy Hoystrich, Sheppton, Gail Kruger, Harleysville, and Jacqui Kenny, Norristown. Also surviving are the two daughters of Anna's best friend, Vera Pilo, Cheryl Fleagle, Schuylkill Haven, and Sandy Lane, Lititz, who were very dear to her heart.
Grave site services will be announced at a later date to be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Brandonville, with Dr. Ira Lydic officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 19 E. Pottsville St., P.O. Box 68, Pine Grove, PA 17963.
