"Ina M. Luckenbill, 81, of the Schuylkill Haven area, died Thursday, May 12, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Friedensburg on May 22, 1929, Ina was the daughter of the late Paul and Vera (Lutz) Schwartz.
Mrs. Luckenbill was a graduate of Cressona High School. She was a farm wife and homemaker, as well as a privately employed seamstress. She was a member of Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church at Reedsville and was a former member of the Friedensburg Grange.
She loved caring for her family, and enjoyed needlework, flower gardening, reading and crossword puzzles.
Ina was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles M. Luckenbill Jr. in 2005, and a son, Curtis Luckenbill in 2000.
Ina is survived by son, Craig Luckenbill and his wife Theresa, Schuylkill Haven; daughter, Connie Wright, and her husband William, Auburn; three granddaughters: Alison Marmas, and her husband Kevin, Cressona; Elizabeth Luckenbill, Bridgewater, NJ; Elizabeth Wright, Auburn; great-grandson, Matthew Marmas, Cressona; brother, Paul Schwartz; and sister, Linda Schwartz, both of the Schuylkill Haven area; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at Bethesda Evangelical Congregational Church at Reedsville, Route 183.
A Celebration of Life service will follow on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Rev. Mark Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
