Mary Kult was born in 1848 and was the first child of Joseph and Catherine Kult. She died in infancy and was buried in the original St. John the Baptist Cemetery (Cemetery #1) located at 8th & Pierce Streets in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, the cemetery has not been maintained and many of the inscriptions on the headstones are worn away and are barely visible.
