A retired educator for Pierre Part and a resident of Plaquemine, she died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, at Plaquemine Manor Nursing Home. She was 97 and a native of Pierre Part. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Clarence Waguespack. Entombment in the church mausoleum. Survived by a sister, LizzieDaigle, Plaquemine; and a number of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Alcee Joseph Ackman Jr.; parents, Anatole and Odilia Blanchard Daigle; six sisters, Eva and Irene Daigle, Marie D. Michel, Inez D. Michel, Noemie D. Michel and Angeline D. Cavalier; and three brothers, Honore, Jules and George Daigle. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. John No. 1214 and St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
